Will You Marry Me?!
Sorry… I got carried away there. I meant, will you stay a while to read about my most recent wedding I photographed? Now that I’ve clarified you won’t have to take MY hand in marriage, how about learning about what goes into me capture the timeline of YOUR special day?
Let’s begin, shall we? The beginning of our day together will more than likely be spent getting ready. Well, you’ll be getting ready and I’ll be snapping those jitters away. Something so special about the Peña’s wedding that was a first for me to see was Mrs. Pena being her own MUA. I loved it and she did an incredible job! The way she zenned out watching a podcast and slaying her face (with minimal help) was pure magic only a bride could do!
While she did that, I ended up steaming her dress so that I could get some beautiful photos of it in its glory. There’s something so fabulous about seeing a wedding gown placed neatly on a hanger. Being that her dress was timelessly chic, it was even more magical photographed (look at it)! After getting the dreamiest shot of the gown, I moved onto the other details. Rings, scent of the day, bouquet, etc. Believe it or not, these images along with the wedding gown were taken in this venues kitchen pantry! The clean white shelves and crisp lighting really made for the perfect space to keep our timeline cohesive in the images story telling.
You know what, now seems like a great time to check on the fellas. Let’s see if they’re making progress. Oh, they’re practically ready! Before heading back to the ladies, let’s see if now’s a good time to capture the venue set up. Wow, these details are dreamy, personalized, and romantic. Snap, snap, snap!
After that, I held back tears and captured the bride having some thoughtful moments with her best friend, dad, and mom (I’m not kidding this was hard to capture without boohooing).
Okay let’s tighten up, we haven’t even made it to the isle yet! Everyone looks amazing and present. Even our little flower girl, I think her tears represented joy, no? Now it’s time for I DO. Could this couple be anymore beautiful? And let’s not forget to mention the florals! The colors really added the perfect pop.
Lights, camera, PERSONALITY is what the Peñas served and I loved every second of it! From smize to full on laughter, the joy was felt! Introducing thePeñas! Everyone please stand for the beautiful newlyweds! This part was fun, everyone was so hype for these two! The love was IN THE ROOM.
There goes those tears trying to creep up again… but hear me out, it’s because of the first dance and the speeches that followed. When genuine support and connected are shown that much, I can’t help but well up okay!
